From Jazmin Bean to Melanie Martinez to Sofia Isella

In this series, Fae (@fae_collection222) takes on our March 12–14 prompts, moving from an instant dark-pop favorite to an iconic album cover to an artist they always return to.

By Fae

Which track feels like an easy favorite?

BLACK DRESS
Jazmin Bean

Jazmin really knows how to make amazing tracks… the minute I heard this one, I was obsessed! It's a masterpiece: the production is so well done and the lyrics are relatable and somehow hit too close to home. This is easily one of Jazmin’s best songs and a favorite of mine. Their music means so much to me, and this track in particular is just so beautiful.

Which album artwork is iconic to you?

Cry Baby
Melanie Martinez

Melanie Martinez’s Cry Baby album cover is so beautiful and recognizable… it’s iconic! I’d say almost every vinyl collector or even music listeners have seen this album cover and at least heard one track from the album. Melanie is my favorite artist ever and she will always have a special place in my heart. Her music hits close to home, and I can't wait for her new album HADES.

For people who have not yet heard this album... I would recommend ‘Training Wheels’ because it is so magical and whimsical!

Which artist do you always come back to?

SOFIA ISELLA

Sofia is an amazing, underrated, and unique artist… I love her vibe and style of music. I always recommend her to other people and tend to go back to her music every few weeks. My favorite song of hers is ‘Cacao and Cocaine’ from her ‘I Can Be Your Mother’ EP. I think she is the best artist when it comes to music about women's rights.
